| Every once in a while it's nice to go out "in my own back yard" and catch a train along Monitor curve. I enjoy watching the history of railroading progress by repeating similar shots here over time. This Z train with just a touch of fall color to frame it is representative of BNSF's attempt to get service back on schedule after a year of heavy oil and coal traffic and a lot of maintenance. The railroad unfortunately had their job made easier with a dramatic fall off in traffic between this shot and current times as had the whole industry. |
