I was onboard V20 on an early morning service from Sydney to Lithgow over the Blue Mountains, when it became stuck behind a failed 'Explorer' DMU between Emu Plains and Lapstone. Our train set back 'wrong line' into the platform at Emu Plains where we were all booted off. There was some talk of pushing the Explorer with our V set, but after sitting around for over an hour it ran empty back to the city. The disruptive effects lasted most of the day, so we gave up and headed elsewhere!
