Remarks & Notes

An ancient smashboard used to govern the crossing of the Milwaukee Road and the C&NW in Plymouth, WI. The C&NW no longer went north thru the crossing so the smashboard slowly deteriorated, first loosing the wood smashboards, then other parts of the signal. The entire signal was removed soon after this photo was taken in the Winter of 1986.
