After switching at Townsend, the Helena local met several freight trains en route to Trident, MT where it would switch cars at the cement plant. Here the train glides along the banks of the Missouri River, a mile from its source, and will stop in a minute or so to switch the cement plant before heading to Logan to set out cars and pick up westbound traffic.
