| Running slightly ahead of schedule, the Liverpool to Scarborough 'Coast to Coast' express made a fine sight this morning as it entered North Yorkshire heading for York. The flat and fertile landscape hereabouts is perhaps not quite as scenic as many routes in the area. Nonetheless, on a lovely morning it's a fine place to wait in anticipation! There's good advance warning of a train approaching as it passes under the distant road bridge at Burton Salmon where once there was a station. Taken from private farmland with permission. |
