| Climbing out of the Antelope Valley a westbound manifest works up Ansel Hill, the 1.3% climb out of the High Desert to Ansel foreshadows the major climb to come for the Roseville bound train upon reaching Mojave. Trailing General Electric C45AHs 8138 and 2528 is EMD SD70ACe-T4 demonstrator #1502. Unveiled earlier this year as EMD's tier-IV emissions compliant version of the SD70ACe/SD70AH demonstrators EMDX 1502 and 1503 have been testing on Union Pacific rails for several months. |
