| With a devastating wildfire raging throughout Cajon Pass in southern California, Amtrak was forced to detour the eastbound Southwest Chief train #4 via Metrolink and Union Pacific to Mojave. With a reversed consist (baggage car on the rear), the train is out of Los Angeles just under an hour late as it heads north on Metrolink's Valley Subdivision toward Mojave where the train will be turned on the wye in order to head east to Barstow on BNSF's Mojave Subdivision. |
