| NS 119 prepares to take a signal at CP "Arlington" in Gastonia. The lead unit is part of a rapidly disappearing class of units on the NS system. With 16 AC44C6Ms being built in 2016 and another 70-something planned for 2017, the unique C40-9 class won't be around for much longer. 125 of these units were built for NS between January and March 1995.
