With Tehachapi's rolling hills still clinging to the colors of Spring a westbound loaded grain train carefully drops through Cliff on the western slope of the Tehachapi Range. Nestled down in the valley below is the Tehachapi Creek which the railroad will cross just prior to entering Caliente, some 6 rail miles away and 700' below. Leased CitiRail (CREX) ES44AC #1206 has command of the westbound 'earthworm', 1206 is one of one hundred CREX units currently on lease to the BNSF.
