A Straight Shot to Bakersfield

A westbound Santa Fe intermodal train escapes from a stormy crossing of southern California's Tehachapi Mountains on March 8, 1992. Powered by SD45 5360, SD45 5364, SD40-2 5153 and SD45 5436, this train has just begun a 15 mile stretch of tangent track - there are no curves between Sandcut and Bakersfield!
