BN 6119, former GN SD9 592, is parked at Minneapolis at the former GN roundhouse at Harrison St. This unit was the third of ten SD9s ordered by Great Northern for delivery in 1958. GN 590-597 were non-dynamic brake equipped while GN 598 and 599 were equipped with dynamics. 599 is being cosmetically restored for display at Skykomish, WA. Back in 1962 I got my first locomotive ride on the 592 at Mora, MN on the Brook Park Turn.
