BN 1796 still in Great Northern's simplified scheme is partnered with F9B 805 and BN 1790, a repainted former GN Geep, at Wenatchee, WA, June 8, 1974. This was my first visit to Wenatchee, done while driving west from Chicago to Seattle for my new position with CNW. Little did I know that I would be living in Wenatchee 40 years later. These units were typical of the helper sets used on Stevens Pass at the time.
Photographs where trains and people mix, weather it's street running, plant switching or carrying a unit grain train out of an elevator, it will be put here.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
