Welcome to the world Central Maine & Quebec SD40-2F #9021! Ironically the 9021 was released today, on 9/21, as the first of 10 SD40-2Fs being painted this fall for the Central Maine & Quebec Railway. This is a one-of-a-kind photo in that the unit is being taken back into the shop to tweak the blue color and to redo the lettering to avoid having it cut on the box behind the conductor side of the cab. The unit should emerge in early October and be joined soon after by CMQ 9023 and 9024, then the remainder of the SD40-2F fleet through mid-November. The CMQ 9021 is formerly CP 9021. There is discussion currently under way to potentially redo the blue on the GP38-3 #3812 also, but nothing concrete on that as of tonight!
