After serving the MBTA commuter rail and Cape Cod Central/Mass Coastal operations, it's time for these F40PHRs to endure a new chapter in their life. The MBTA leased these 7 locomotives from Rail World Locomotive Leasing in early 2015, and served as commuter train power out of Boston's North Station as well as tourist operations on the Cape Cod Central and some passenger/freight operations on Mass Coastal.
