New acquisitions for the Pickens Railroad are three former CSXT ex NS nee CR B40-8s, numbers 5960, 5970 and 5975. The trio are being prepped for service at the carrier's shop in Gluck, South Carolina. The B40s are a jump forward from the famed and rare U18Bs the shortline operator has been known for. The four U18Bs, aka Baby Boats will remain on the roster as backup units and lease power.
