In the early 1980’s, M&K Junction near Rowlesburg, West Virginia was a stronghold for Chessie SD35’s running out some of their later days in helper service. Here one from the Western Maryland and three from the Baltimore & Ohio lean into a coal train heading eastbound on Cranberry Grade at Amblersburg.
