As the 1950 built N&W 4-8-4 #611 arrives into the NCTM after a deadhead move from Roanoke, 1958 built N&W GP9 #620 waits to pull north of the switch at Hatley and take the cars off of 611's consist. There is a very distinct possibility that these two locomotives crossed paths during their original careers with the Norfolk and Western.
