I&O 5011 and 3492 bring a train load of limestone past the former Hocking Valley Railway depot at Canal Winchester. The stone is loaded at the Melvin Stone quarry in Melvin, OH on the I&O Midland Subdivision. I&O then interchanges the train with power to CSX at Haynes, which brings it to Parsons Yard on the south side of Columbus to hand back over to the I&O for the trip to the transloader at Logan.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
