Albany Main Remnants: What remains of the former D&H Albany Main between Delanson, NY and Voorheesville, NY is operated today by SMS Rail Services. Currently, SMS typically uses one or two former Santa Fe B23-7s to switch the Guilderland Industrial Park near Voorheesville and occasionally run to Delanson to interchange with Norfolk Southern. Though a Santa Fe paint scheme is out of place on this line, the crew has done a nice job of maintaining the paint scheme. More importantly, it's great to see trains operating on a line that was dormant through most of the 1990s. Here, SMS Train NE-1 with B23-7 #4212 is not too far out of Delanson with cars from Norfolk Southern as it approaches the Schoharie Turnpike in Duanesburg, NY.
