Taking a slight bend at Mt. Lakes
NJ Transit train #1003, en route from Hoboken to Denville is shown just West of the Mountain Lakes train station on a slight bend taking in the final autumn days light. Power for that train is one of the Metro-North locomotives assigned to the Hoboken Division power pool.
Two rapid transit lines, PATCO and PATH, take commuters to Philadelphia and New York, respectively. Metro North locomotives and rolling stock often show up on NJ Transit northern lines and SEPTA terminates routes in Trenton and West Trenton.
