| Semboro Sugar Mill in East Java once boasted 300 km of narrow gauge track. Even in 2008, 100 km remained active although largely in the care of diesel traction. One of the last active steam locomotives is No 15, a 1926-built Orenstein & Koppel. The sugar shack's vendor patiently waits for the photographers to come in out of the hundred degree noonday sun and buy him out of his supply of cold colas. |
