| Were L&N & C&O Meets?
KC Junction is were the former L&N to Corbin and the C&O to Russell meets, "KC" is brought from Kentucky Central. But to a railfan not from the area they may presume that the B&O meet something here with the CPL's that stands here, but in the early 1990's the Covington Yard was abandoned and the number of tracks was not need so CSX replaced the former C&O signals at this location with B&O CPL's this was also to be known as the last B&O Signal upgrade anywhere on CSX. Now the CPL's are soon to be gone with the railroads upgrading to PTC. |
