With alternating 1970’s/1960’s paint schemes, five Reading EMD’s roll an eastbound freight on the main line at Hecla, Pennsylvania. Lead locomotive 3674 is one of five GP40-2’s underwritten by Bethlehem Steel to power the Grace Mine ore service. Three units were normally used on these trains, with the other two free for maintenance or general service. Joining 3674 are an SD45, a GP39-2, a GP30, and an MP15.
