CNW 943, an SD45 and SD40-2 CNW 6815 pair up to handle an eastbound train 472 into Eau Claire from East Minneapolis, MN. The train is crossing the Chippewa River bridge with Old Wells Road bridge above it in the background. Train 472 was a time freight that operated in the 1970s and early 1980s between the Twin Cities and Green Bay, WI via Altoona, Merrillan, and Wausau. During the later part of that period, the run got changed to terminate in Fond Du Lac via Adams and Clyman Jct., then still later at Butler, WI, outside Milwaukee.
