The low roar of two 20-cylinder EMD prime movers followed closely by the staccato ratcheting of a GE C30-7 fill the air in rural Salt Lake County as SP's Eugene, Oregon to Chicago, Illinois Q-train pulls east through Riverton on Sept. 3, 1994.
