Built in March of 1957, JDHX 50 first saw service on the Nickle Plate Railroad as NKP 342. Some 59 years later and after seeing service on both the Norfork & Western and Norfork Southern, the veteran SD9 now serves the J.D. Heiskell & Co. at their Guernsey, Calif., facility.
