MPI 9037 leads a westbound BN freight across the Skykomish River on the late 1960s line relocation made by Great Northern Railway between Index and Gold Bar, WA. This bridge was built as part of that project which reduced grades and curvature on GN's mainline west of the Cascades on Stevens Pass.
