Trains to Planes! Amtrak 393 lead a special train from Chicago to the EAA Convention in Oshkosh, WI. in July of 1987. Once the route of The Laker, this is one of a few passenger trains to traverse the old Soo Line, pictured here at Allenton, WI.
The Empire Builder crosses the state on its way to St. Paul, Seattle and Portland. The Hiawatha Corridor between Milwaukee and Chicago is one of Amtrak's busiest routes.
