Being one of two locomotives to get refueled, CSXT #4577 only gets the leftovers. Taking the bulk of fuel available to fill the belly of partner CSXT engine #8502, (receiving 2,000 gallons) the MAC only gets the remaining 600 gallons of fuel. In a relatively short amount of time both engines received fuel. With the job done, the nice gentleman here detaches the nozzle and winds up the hose preparing to head back to Birmingham, AL.
Do you ever wonder what is inside a locomotive, and how they run. Check out these photos from the shops to see locomotives taken apart to be repaired or rebuilt. It is cool to be able to see the hearts and organs of these steel horses.
