The Norwalk River Railroad Bridge, also known as WALK, is a movable bridge built by the New York, New Haven and Hartford in 1896. Although hard to see, an entire crew of orange jacketed railroad workers are standing on the bridge in preparation for the opening. Due to frequent failures of the bridge opening (and closing), the process is now done manually.
