"New York & Atlantic Railway at the Barclays Center" New York & Atlantic Railway's last SW1001, #101 idles with LIRR SW1001 #100 at Vanderbilt Avenue a.k.a "VD" Yard on a brisk morning. The massive Barclays Center Arena towers over the power in the background. The power was used to assist crews during the rerailing of the train that ran into the bumping block at Atlantic Terminal the week prior. This is the first time diesels have visited VD Yard in over a decade and NYAR's first ever appearance at the yard.
