CNW 4246 was built in July 1961 as New York Central 8034, and became Conrail 2034 in 1976. By 1980 CNW had acquired 10 former Conrail RS-32s. This photo was taken at Huron, SD, but by the mid-1980s the CNW 4246 could be seen in northeastern Wisconsin as the Alco fleet migrated to Green Bay for servicing.
