        Remarks & Notes
Amtrak Train 311 drops down Independence Hill on the UP Sedalia Sub. after an on time station stop at the Truman Depot behind the Phase IV Heritage Locomotive. The 184 got swapped onto the 311/316 rotation yesterday after its engine failed. The heritage unit came off the Texas Eagle #22 at St. Louis and was sent west to KC.

I'll jump at any opportunity to shoot this unit, as it wears my favorite Amtrak scheme, and it actually matches the cars it pulls. Not to mention, the first Amtrak train I ever rode was led by a pinstriped P42DC in July 2000.

Not just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
