      Remarks & Notes
The daily Waterloo to Kirk Yard manifest train screams thru Independence as they cross over Wapsipinicon River. Most of the towns along the Dubuque Sub are at the bottom of hills due to the rivers, so we normally have a good roll on them. Winter hasn't been around much, but its been cold enough to keep the river frozen above the bridge.
