Steamtown's 1910 Lima Locomotive Meadow River Lumber Company 2-Truck Shay captured rusting away at the back lot of the former DL&W shops. Looking pretty poor when captured here in November of 2016, this Shay - Steamtown's only geared locomotive, actually arrived in somewhat similar shape back in 1985, albeit, not as rusted nor faded thanks in part due to damage resulting from the collapse of the building she was housed in while at Bellows Falls, VT in February of 1982. The amount of work needed to cosmetically restore this locomotive puts it very far down on the list of priorities - if ever.
