As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, an SY locomotive laden with underground mine waste slowly makes its way up the incline to dispose the waste on a mad made hill at Fuxin composed of mine spoil from underground mine operations and flyash from power stations. The steep incline means the locos have to work really hard and the reward at this time of day is a golden sunset and magnificent smoke plume. Mining spoil and flyash tipping operations were entirely carried out by steam locomotives at Fuxin until August 2016. North-Western Liaoning Province, People's Republic of China.
