| Two hours at Titlow No. 1: Titlow is a suburban area on Tacoma's west side that reaches down to Puget Sound. BNSF's mainline to Portland, shared by UP and Amtrak hugs the shoreline. As winter gives birth to spring, BNSF crews have dropped ties along the right of way for an aggressive tie replacement program this spring. Here BNSF 5133 leads a light engine move slowly down main 2 below the Narrows bridges. Two workers are marking ties on main 2, so it's bells and whistles. |
