Lightning pops out of a distant thunderhead as the prairie winds carry it across the open plains while the beautiful center of our Milky Way Galaxy rises high above the New Mexico landscape and the more than a century old semaphores just north of Wagon Mound. These are the oldest active forms of signaling on a class one Railroad in the United States, and are set for replacement in the coming future...
