| Bennet Levin's Pennsylvania Railroad E8 #5809 makes an arrival at Southern's Barber Junction Station in Spencer, NC. The Philadelphia based locomotive was on display during the NCTM's "Streamliners" event and was the only locomotive to lead off site excursions though several ran short trips along the Museum's ROW. PRR E8B No. 5711 was also in attendance. No. 5809 was built for the PRR in 1951. The station was built in 1898 and later moved to the North Carolina Transportation Museum in 1980. |
