No. 24 leads a Milwaukee Road transcontinental freight west as it descends toward Kittitas, WA after climbing Boyleston Hill. Note the helpers cut into the train. Milwaukee used radio controlled master/slave combos, but also would use manned helpers on the climb west out of Beverly, WA to Kittitas. The train is about to cross Renslow trestle over I-90 east of Kittitas.
