Lake State Railway is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year and to celebrate the event LSRC GP40-3 4325 was placed in service wearing a special logo and the number board font and cabside road numbers of predecessor Detroit & Mackinac. An April 8 company photo shoot found the 4325 center stage with the various paint schemes LSRC has employed since startup. A special guest was the former LSRC RS-2M 469, DM's first diesel locomotive. Posters of this setup will be produced with the RS-2M wearing the DM logo. The setup was conducted at the former Pere Marquette roundhouse in Saginaw. CEFX SD70M-2s 140-142 have been leased by LSRC but not yet placed in service.
