“The Heartbreak of Corrosion”
Rust has taken its toll on the best part of the B&O paint scheme—the Capitol Dome emblem—on this GP40, acting as lead unit on a westbound manifest at Harwood on the former B&O Washington Subdivision on July 5, 1987.
