The era of traditional mail and express trains was winding down in 1968, but some healthy-looking ones still ran in Penn Central territory. New York Central E8s 4041-4051 led Boston-bound mail train 104, with a consist of baggage cars, express boxcars, an RPO, and a rider coach, on the former Boston & Albany line at Weston, MA.
