Never a dull moment. On August 25, 2008 we were told to remove a string of six older interplant boxcars from the coal track for scrap. They'd been in there for several years and the track was completely over grown. Corporate sent our track inspector to assist with the move but nothing to clear the track. After unspiking the long unused switch, he told us "Just bring it in, we'll see what happens." I couldn't see any of the rail, but somehow it stayed on far enough to make the joint. Rocking the cars to get them out didn't work, so we put air on them, not expecting it to hold. It held and three hours and a rented chainsaw later to remove a large tree limb, the cars were dragged free to be cut up.
