| SNCF BB 4154 and BB 4162 with their pick up freight from Neussargues to Béziers on the "Ligne des Causes" in the French Central Massif. The two locomotives worked in UM (Unité Multiple), due to the mountainious character of the line with sharp curves and steep gradients. Another feature is the "caténaire inclinée" on this line and other MIDI-lines. This type of catenary alows larger distances between the poles in curves. |
