| Freight trains on narrow gauge are a very rare sight in Switzerland these days. Most railway companies stopped freight traffic long time ago. Not so the ASM. Between Sutz and Siselen - two small villages in the region of Biel - gravel trains can be seen on a regular basis. Up to three times a day, a shuttle train with motorcoaches type Be 4/4 on each side and three waggons is driving the 10 km distance. Since most of the line runs right next to the main street, it is a rather big challenge to take pictures without a car in front of the trains.... |
