The train pictured here was the latest in a series of private charters, organized by Dave Gross and operated by the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. The amazing thing about Dave's charters is that he seemed to have connections with the charter gods upstairs, because every time I rode one of his trips, we had wall-to-wall sun both days. Such was the case this time as well. The weather was great, and the crew put on a heck of a show. All of the patrons took home some beautiful memories to treasure for years to come.
