| MARC meets MTA! Long Island Railroad has a recurring problem each summer of equipment shortage. LIRR has such a high demand for service to the east end that equipment is heavily needed more than ever. To remedy this situation, LIRR leased 8 MARC coaches to use. Pictured is DE30AC 411 pulling a test train that made several trips from Hicksville to Jamaica and up to Port Jefferson. |
