With it's journey through the Columbia River Gorge and Deschutes River Canyon complete, SP 4449 catches the last rays of light as it eases the 2017 Cascades Daylight into Bend following a spectacular run from Portland. Despite the tardiness of the train, the 4449 performed flawlessly and the locomotive's crew should be commended for their tireless work to bring this engine back up and running following its FRA mandated, 1472 boiler inspection.
