Nearing the end of its journey and workday on July 16, 2017, Central Maine & Quebec's Searsport turn #211 had less than two miles to go before tying down for the evening back in Hermon, Maine. Summer was in full swing in Northern New England, and a beautiful afternoon made it possible to stand in the middle of Soudabscook Stream in upper Hamden. Rebuilt GP38-3 #3812 looked mighty fine in the sun of July.
